Happy Monday, friends!
Today, we’re kicking the week off with a burst of color and a dose of inspiration. Last week, Pantone revealed ‘Tangerine Tango’ as their color of the year for 2012. The hue is “a spirited reddish orange” that’s sophisticated, seductive, and dramatic.

Over the past few seasons, orange has gained popularity among the fashion, beauty, and home decor worlds, so it’s no surprise this vivacious color will be making a splash in the new year.
With 2012 nuptials in mind, we created a Tangerine Tango-inspired color board to help get your creative juices flowing, whether you’re planning a spring, summer or fall wedding. The punchy hue translates to nearly every season and can be applied to every aspect of your big day, from bridesmaid dresses and desserts to bridal makeup and reception decor (love the chevron-print pillow below for lounge furniture!). This board skews orange, but you could easily incorporate some shades of red for a more dramatic palette.

What do you think of Pantone’s 2012 color? Will you be incorporating Tangerine Tango into your wedding palette?
